I was born in a rough environment, my father used to always be in the corner shop working 24/7, so I never really saw him growing up.
My family was poor growing up, It was hard to even afford the necessities. Sometimes I would have to wear my dad's old clothes just because we couldn't afford new clothes.
It was challenging not seeing my father as often, with the only form of interaction being when I started working with him at the shops at the age of 8.
Working with my dad started my journey to financial freedom and the lessons I learned I still apply to this day.
However my story doesn't end there...
School was the most difficult part of my life, everyday I woke up for school I knew the hell that was approaching.
"You're fat."
"You're good for nothing."
"You're a waste of space."
This was a normal day for me, the worst days were when It got violent. People saw me as an easy target, spitting, punching, kicking, stealing my stuff. It never ended...
At that point I realised I needed to take care of myself as no one else would.
So I took matters into my own hands...
My uncle and father inspired me to get into the real estate business from an early age, I knew I had to start early so I could fulfil my aspiration.
My first job was at the age of 13 where I would work during my school holidays. Working there during the harsh British weather was no easy task. I'd be awake before the sun rise, having to get into a van to lift heavy boxes every single day.
I've been taught the art of resilience from a young age, I knew I had to keep going if I ever wanted to succeed in my lifetime.
During this stage I learned the art of discipline.
I didn't want to wake up early in the morning to work. But I still did.
I didn't want to pick up heavy boxes for a minimum wage. But I still did.
You get the point.
After finishing my A-Levels, I got accepted in The University Of Greenwich for an accounting and finance degree.
People always ask me "how important is school? should I go to uni?".
And my answer is always the same... "depends on what you want to become."
After graduating I started working 5 days a week at Barclays while also working at McDonalds, on the weekends and before I knew it I was saving £1000 a month to invest into my first property.
Purchasing it for £140,000 and a 10% deposit Even after purchasing my first property I continued working at Barclays and McDonalds.
Until the age of 26 where I left the bank with 4-5 properties in my name
